This year’s launch took place on the 1st of November. Once again we are very grateful to Radio Leicester for supporting the charity by making their studios available to us to publicise the launch, and to Ben Jackson for hosting our visit at 12:15 pm.
The occasion was attended by Ozzy O’Shea Chairman of Leicestershire County Council with his Consort Jenny O’Shea. Sarah Russell Leicester Deputy Mayor. Sarah Harrison Leicester City Centre Director. Dave Andrews Leicestershire Deputy-Lieutenant representing the Lord-Lieutenant.
Local businesses were represented by Leona Harris from Leicestershire Cares, Adrian Young and Ben Swift from Fosse Park and Debbie Kenny from ASDA Fosse Park. Chris Huscroft represented Oadby and Wigston Lions (South Wigston Food Bank), Carol Black Leicestershire Scouts and Jess Banner (President) Blaby Inner Wheel.
All the Toys on the Table trustees and volunteers made up the remainder of the audience giving it a colourful setting in their bright red tops.

The attendees were the first to put a toy “on the table” to begin this year’s appeal.
